Yoga effects us on many levels – psychological and physical

Yoga is a  physicalmental, and spiritual practice or discipline which originated in ancient India. Yoga teaches us a positive way of life. By connecting to our true selves, we begin to accept and love ourselves. Therefore looking after ourselves through a proper diet and a healthy, mindful living. Being able to take care of ourselves provides inner peace, that brings a desire to take care and share yoga with others. Yoga combines breathing (pranayama), physical postures (asanas), which are done mindfully and meditation.

I Studied with Vivi Letsou Anusara Yoga, she is a great teacher that holds nothing back, she has now created her own yoga style Abaya Yoga. Through Vivi’s teaching I was challenged to take the plunge with no fear. Through her teachings I was taught alignment yoga with therapeutics, pranayama and meditation. I was taught to give my all as she does in each one of her classes.

Arun Deva is a great teacher full of love and understanding. Through my studies with him I have learnt a lot about Ayurveda an ancient medical system from India. He has taught me vinyasa krama based on the teaching of Srivatsa Ramaswami yoga, a system that originates from Sri T, Krishnamacharya. However when Arun Deva teaches yoga he integrates the health of the body, mind and spirit, as it was originally regarded as the ultimate pathway to enlightenment.

Michael Stone I had the privilege of meeting when he came to Greece. He teachings were and will be a great inspiration. He was able to make the link between modern psychology, Yoga and Buddhism simple. I learnt and will continue to learn vipassana meditation, as he was abundant enough to leave a great legacy of teachings.
